Sign please!
I must admit I don’t know the best answer to this one. But I do know that
although I hear this phrase in every single school I go to, it doesn’t
sound right.
If you are signing a contract or something you could say “sign here please”.
But to say that to an ALT would sound very scary, like you are trying to
buy their house! Similarly “signature please” is too formal. Here's what
we use for famous people, it's a bit long and is usually just for megastars
like Brad or Angelina, but if your kids can say it, I'm sure their ALTs
will be impressed!
“May I have your autograph please?”.
