March 2004 - Part 2!

Hello, this is just a quick "bonus newsletter" to let you know about all the new stuff on the website! First of all, free for everybody ....

Online Phonics Games

A near-complete phonics course online for free! The phonics section of the site has been really popular, especially with teachers who recommend it to their students as homework. The page has now been updated with 3 more quizzes to cover all the basic phonics sounds. It's a great grounding for the kids and if they do the quizzes at home it's great to show their parents how well you've been teaching them!

Free Kids' Workbook and Audio Games

Whilst the phonics games are free to all, this new kidsEworkbook and audio games are on the members' page of the site as a special thank you to all of you who have bought the Genki English CDs.

First off, and due to popular demand, the workbook features illustrated lyrics and a quiz for each of the songs on Genki English vol. 1. The sound files are fast and full of real English, designed to give your kids the skill to pick out what they can understand and not get worried by the bits they can't! They are also great files for end of year tests!

Tell your friends about the new "GenkiMaths.com"

According to the TV and newspapers in the UK, maths teaching in England is currently going through the same sort of experience that English teaching is in Japan, with kids being turned off by the boring lessons they have in public school.

This new page might not be useful to yourself, but if you know any maths teachers back home, be sure to tell them about this site and how to bring Genkiness to their maths lessons! It's basically the best of Genki English in a form suitable for maths teachers!

And Finally,

At this time of year the Genki English Certificate maker is always popular, try it out to show your students how well they've been doing this year!

Oh, and did you see the GenkiEnglish worksheets on Fuji TV last week?

Anyway, thanks for listening, the newsletter will be back to normal from next month!

Be genki,

Richard
