Genki English Newsletter

 September 2001

Welcome to Genki English in September!! We're here to help you get the most out of your Primary School English lessons!

Make your lessons even better! CD vol. 3 is now available!

Do you want some extra energy in your lessons? Well, the 3rd Genki English CD is here for you! Amazing new songs and software to teach greetings, "Do you like...?", months, adjectives, sports, modes of transport and drinks (non-alcoholic of course)! Put the CD in a CD player for the 7 songs and karaoke versions, and then put it in a suitable computer to get "talking lyrics", pronunciation guides and groovy quizzes!! The first 2 CDs were so popular (we have to drag kids away from the computers!) that we just had to make a new one!

PLUS order the set of 3 Genki English CDs before September 30th and get postage and packing FREE! And of course we'll send you a free set of worksheets! So instead of 13,580 yen you pay only 12,600 yen (a saving of nearly 1,000 yen!!)! You can order on the webpage, ( http://genkienglish.net/order.htm ) or if you are in Japan by sending an email ( mailto:ordern@genkienglish.net ) telling us your name, address, phone number and how many sets you would like!

You can also order on the website via credit card!

And of course we haven't forgotten our previous customers, so if you have CDs 1 or 2, simply tell us where and when you bought the CDs and we'll send you CD3 for only 4200 yen, we'll pay the post and packing! And if you own CD1 or 2 you can download the new CD3 worksheets for free, simply check out the worksheets page!!

Thanks to everyone who has bought the CDs so far, and with your support in buying the new CD it will help us to keep the website fresh, full of ideas and free!!

New MP3 "Sports" Song

So, to celebrate the release of CD3 you'll find one of the songs on the website as a free MP3 download. It's a great little song for teaching the names of sports such as tennis, basketball, soccer etc. Used together with the Stopwatch game, and gestures used whilst singing the song, it makes a great lesson that your students will love!

Oxford University Press - Kinokuniya - Genki English Seminars!

If you'd like any of your Japanese teachers to get an introduction to teaching English in a fun, genki way, then tell them to pop along to one of our Autumn seminars organised by Kinokuniya and Oxford University Press. In the Tokyo one (September 8th) we'll have a 15 minute brief demo, then we'll be around for questions or a chat, and at the other venues (Nagoya Sep 9th, Fukuoka Sep 15th, Osaka Sep 16th) we'll be going through a full 45 minute presentation with games, songs and loads of great teaching techniques! Oh, and it's free to attend! Details in Japanese: http://www.kinokuniya.co.jp/02f/d16/2_16000g.htm

Show in Taishi Town, Osaka September 22nd

Want to let your students see some real Genki English in action? Want to see just how good kids can get in one hour? Check out one of our Kids' Shows - you won't have seen anything like it before! We've just come back from an amazing tour in Kanto, and a great show in Ehime, and the next event is in the Osaka area on September 22nd in Taishi Town! Admission is 1,000 yen per kid and they'll love it! Email us for reservations!

And finally...

Things are getting really exciting here with lots of new teachers starting this term and the new Primary School English programme just around the corner! Remember that we're here to help you out, so if you have any questions or need any help, simply ask us on the discussion board ( http://genkienglish.net/discussion.mv )! It's free and we'll try our best to help you out!

And if there's anything you'd like to see on the website (More games? Songs? Phonics? Anything else?) then let us know and we'll see what we can do!

Be genki,
